daelin

Daelin Henschel is an acoustic guitarist from North Bay, Ontario. With a self-contained approach to the instrument, his music simultaneously encompasses multiple parts of a band on one guitar, and his diverse repertoire spans a range of genres, drawing from Country, Jazz, Folk, and even Classical. As a result, the experience of his virtuosic style of playing is often as visually captivating as it is sonically pleasing. Daelin has a large catalogue of original compositions as well as arrangements through which he aims to deliver a memorable musical experience to audiences. He is also a graduate of Humber’s renowned music program, where he studied jazz guitar.

As a skilled performer, Daelin brings a high level of musical entertainment infused with a love of showmanship to the stage wherever he plays. His repertoire has proven effective in connecting with audiences in various settings; his performances embody energy and a sincere love of his craft. Though he possesses technical prowess, Daelin’s true passion lies in the art of composition, the result of which is a catalogue that demonstrates his versatility and strong storytelling sensibility as a composer.  

Daelin’s performances have ingratiated him to audiences in his hometown North Bay, where he is well-known for showmanship and musicality. He has opened for Juno winners Joey Landreth and Ian Tamblyn and has performed at Windsong Music Festival in Powassan where the crowd found him to be not only talented but exceptionally witty.

Studying the guitar and sharing musical knowledge and information with others is another prominent aspect of Daelin’s career and life. In 2022, through his mentor and Humber professor Rob Bulger, Daelin began working for Guitar Workshop Plus. This international organization hosts educational music camps featuring legendary guest artists such as Steve Vai, Rik Emmett, and Tommy Emmanuel. He now serves as a teacher of their acoustic guitar program at both the Toronto and Nashville annual sessions.
